The Government of Benin signed a Framework Memorandum for Collaboration and Cooperation alongside financial institutions and leading international partners. It was on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the Group of the Banque mondiale and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which are being held in Washington, DC, in the United States.

The objective is to advance a common climate policy agenda and unlock large-scale climate finance for Benin. Through this Memorandum of Collaboration and Cooperation Framework, the country is taking a major step in operationalizing its ambition to à integrate climate action into macroeconomic planning, while mobilizing capital. public and private to support its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
