A workshop to strengthen the capacities of “green” women's SMEs opened in Abidjan on July 15, 2025. It is part of the Support Program for the Improvement of the Business Climate (PACA-CI), co-financed by the State of Côte d'Ivoire and the African Development Bank

The activity brought together 50 female entrepreneurs involved in the renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, recycling, and green building sectors. The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Parfait KOUADIO, Director of Cabinet at the Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition (MINEDDTE), representing Minister Assahoré Konan Jacques. The latter placed particular emphasis on the link between the environment, economic resilience and the inclusion of women in the structural transformation of the country. The workshop takes place over four days and is supported by the Green Hubs Women and Young Entrepreneurs project. It will allow participants to become familiar with modules related to the development of green investment plans, green financing opportunities, as well as sustainable innovation. At the end of the activities, these committed women will benefit from the sharing of experiences and practical sessions aimed at promoting their integration into dynamic business ecosystems, while consolidating their leadership in sectors with high potential for transformation
