On Thursday, January 26, 2023, a panel devoted to the issue of fertilizers took place at the Abdou-Diouf CICAD International Conference Center in Diamniadio, 30 km from Dakar, as part of the Dakar 2 Summit on Food Sovereignty, held at the initiative of the African Bank. African Development Bank, the Government of Senegal and the African Union Commission. On the occasion, Mohamed Anouar Jamali estimates that this quantity represents “more than double that supplied by OCP to the continent in 2021 and more than a quarter of the total production planned by the group.”
According to the head of the Moroccan Office, OCP has launched a large-scale program by making 550,000 tons of fertilizer available to several African countries July 2022.
