On Monday, December 19, 2022, the CEO of the Café-Cacao Council, Brahima Yves Koné visited the construction site of the future industrial complex for the storage and processing of cocoa beans, accompanied by members of the Management Committee. This construction site is located in the Yopougon industrial zone, on the outskirts of Abidjan.

During his visit to the construction site, Théodore Coulibaly, managing director of TRANSCAO Côte d'Ivoire, announced that the construction phase has now begun after the completion of engineering works begun a year ago. Indeed, according to the forecasts, the factory should start up during the fourth quarter of 2023. According to him, this industrial complex will consist of an administrative building, a warehouse storing 140,000 tons of cocoa beans, a training center for cocoa trades and a processing plant with a grinding capacity of 100,000 tons of cocoa beans.
