The managing director of the Banque de l'Habitat du Sénégal (Bhs) has been reappointed president of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (Apbef) of Senegal. Administrator and CEO of the BHS then President of the APBEF, Mamadou Bocar Sy will serve for another 2 years.

Mamadou Bocar Sy is the new president of the Federation of Professional Associations of Banks and Financial Institutions of the UEMOA Countries (Fapbef Uemoa) as of January 15, 2023. In fact, he led the acquisition of the site that would house the APBEF headquarters, greatly contributing to refining the image and visibility of the association. He is also committed to a fruitful and permanent dialogue with economic actors, customers and state authorities. He also managed the Covid-19 crisis with the central bank. These numerous actions of Mamadou Bocar Sy were appreciated by all. Certainly, with assertive leadership, Bocar SY will once again raise the torch of Apbef very high.
