BOAD and the CRTC organized a consultation workshop from 1 to 3 February 2023 in Lomé, in line with the proposal for the West African Regional Facility for the Financing of Low-Emission and Resilient Agriculture program at Climate Change (FOAFARCC).

Initiated by BOAD in 2021, FOAFARCC is perfectly aligned with the 3rd operational axis of the BOAD's Djoliba 2021-2025 strategic plan. That consisting in strengthening the resilience of member countries to the challenges of climate change. FOAFARCC aims to promote innovative solutions developed in response to the crucial challenges faced by UEMOA member countries.

In reality, the program aims to set up technical assistance and a line of concessional finance for private and public sector actors. This will make it possible to develop capacities for low-emission and climate-resilient agribusiness, acquire and disseminate adapted climate information and technologies, and then strengthen climate risk assessment and management practices in the agriculture and agribusiness sector within financial institutions.
