The Orabank group and African Guarantee Fund have strengthened their partnership, which was dedicated to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to the tune of 60 billion FCFA (100 million USD).

The 60 billion FCFA financing aims to increase the Orabank group's intervention capabilities in favor of SMEs through its subsidiaries in West Africa. Indeed, strengthening the partnership between the two institutions will enable the Orabank group to play a major role in the development of the economies where it operates, by providing a solution to the thorny problem of access to finance for SMEs-SMIs.

Beneficiary of support from the African Development Bank's Initiative to Promote Women's Access to Finance in Africa (AFAWA), this partnership will therefore increase funding for female R&D entrepreneurship acute; region. The guarantee will also cover SMEs that are eligible for green finance.

Jules NGANKAM, CEO of the African Guarantee Fund Group, said that “the African Guarantee Fund Group is firmly committed to working alongside its financial partners to promote economic development and increase the creation of ; jobs and poverty reduction in Africa by providing them with guarantee solutions and capacity building support, specifically designed to support SMEs. The Orabank group is a leading player in financing economies in Africa due to its geographical presence, its focus on SMEs and its financial strength. Our partnership with the Orabank group will allow us to play our major role in promoting financing for African SMEs.”
