Several customers of Moroccan banks have reported attempts to hack their account through mobile applications. Calls for vigilance are multiplying in the face of the number of complaints.

S Only customers who use mobile applications are targeted by hackers who have tried time and again to take control of their account. Indeed, this type of hacking uses a procedure that consists in sending a message to customers, inviting them to provide personal data. They insist that failure to do so would cause the bank to freeze their account. It's just a ruse to get the client's login details.

This attack was discovered by the CIH. The extent has not yet been determined. In fact, after the discovery, the CIH immediately sent a message calling on its customers to never provide personal data outside of official channels, and to be more vigilant about messages inviting them to update their data via a link. Many Moroccan companies and even universities have often been targeted by this type of attack despite all precautions.
