Starlink launched commercial operations in Africa at the beginning of this month of February 2023. These activities, started in Nigeria, are expanding rapidly in several small islands off the coast of Madagascar.

Space's Starlink satellite service has been launched in Africa, signing a Japanese airline as a new customer. Last week, the company tweeted that “Starlink is now available in Nigeria — the first African country to receive the service! ”. Also, according to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, Nigeria had achieved 100% broadband coverage thanks to the launch of the satellite service.
