Unilever Côte d'Ivoire (Unilever CI) fears that current inflation will impact its business and profitability in 2022. To cope with this situation, the company decided to revise its prices upwards.

While inflation has increased the pressure on its margins in fiscal 2021, Unilever, a subsidiary of the Dutch-British multinational, is again concerned that it could affect its business. To guard against the effects of the inflationary rise, the company listed on the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) decided to adjust its cost structure to remain profitable, and improve its revenues during the year.

Last year, widespread inflation in material and logistics costs increased pressure on Unilever CI's margins. The company increased its losses in its ordinary activities. At December 31, 2021, they were 8 billion FCFA against 7.4 billion FCFA during the 2020 financial year.
