Two individuals were found guilty by the Court for the Suppression of Economic and Financial Crimes.
Mohamed Kébé, younger brother of the late Amadou Salifou Kébé, former president of the said institution, and Facinet Camara (founder of Flavio Voyages et Tourisme) are the culprits. Indeed, the Court initially reclassified it as an “offence of fraud” committed against the State. First of all, they were prosecuted for money laundering and illicit enrichment. The court sentenced Mohamed Kébé to 7 years in prison and to pay a fine of 100 million GNF, while Facinet Camara, CEO of the Flavio company, was sentenced to 3 years in prison and to pay a fine of 50 million Guinean francs. CRIEF issued an arrest warrant against the two convicted persons.
