On Friday, December 23, 2022, an agreement was signed between Mauritania, the Boghé farmers' group and the American company “African Agriculture INC. ” This agreement is intended to develop commercial agriculture for an initial investment of 30 million dollars.

The financing agreement was reached during a working session designed to outline investment opportunities in Mauritania and the measures taken to improve the business climate in the country. It was signed by the Minister of Economic Affairs, Ousmane Mamoudou Kane. The agreement provides for reaching an amount of 500 million dollars as part of cooperation between the two parties with a development of a total area of 500,000 hectares throughout the Valley.

The meeting that led to the signing of the agreement was organized on the sidelines of the USA-Africa summit, one of whose objectives is the consolidation of economic partnerships that guarantee the interests of all parties through: the creation of work opportunities and the encouragement of global and sustainable development through the strengthening of investments between the United States and African countries.
