The approval of the appointment Félix Landry Njoumé as CEO of Ecobank Central Africa SA was announced by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of this bank since November 2022.

Félix Landry Njoumé succeeds Sylvain Pendi Bisseyou. According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ecobank Central Africa SA, “the professional career of the new CEO is all the richer because he provides assurances to the Board of Directors, which has asked him to align his mission with the achievements of years of reforms, by focusing efforts on the sustainable transformation of Ecobank Central Africa. At a time of digitalization, an objective declared by the Ecobank group”.

Félix Landry Njoumé is a graduate of the Higher School of Economic and Commercial Sciences (Essec) at the University of Douala, holds a master's degree in management and an MBA from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce of Paris I-Sorbonne University, in France. At the end of 2021, he completed the acquisition of 54% of the capital of Union Bank of Cameroon (UBC) by the State. Njoumé led this transaction to its conclusion in his capacity as managing director of Union Bank of Cameroon. This transaction was accompanied by a capitalization of 17.8 billion CFA francs, which also resulted in the Ecobank group exiting the shareholding of this bank, which has been in difficulty since 2009.
