Corrupt acts and practices in various sectors of public life continue despite the commitment made by the President of the Republic to combat this scourge. Thus, AGOPA-DH recalls that, following the desire expressed by the Head of State to fight against Corruption, the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) has been rehabilitated and the Anti-Corruption Agency was set up at the Presidency of the Republic by Ordinance No. 20/013 Bis of 17 March 2020 establishing, organizing and functioning of a specialized service ; named Agency for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption “APLC”.
Agopa-DH, like several observers, welcomes the efforts undertaken by the IGF with its financial patrols carried out in certain companies and public administrations in the DRC, with encouraging results that are appreciated by Congolese public opinion. Among these results, this organization notes the performances in mobilizing tax and parafiscal revenues, and the transmission of several files of alleged acts of corruption and embezzlement of public funds to the General Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Cassation.
