The heads of Caisse Des Dépôts et Consignations de d'Ivoire (CDC-CI) and the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions of Côte d'Ivoire (APBEF-CI), met on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in Abidjan, to exchange. In the line of sight, the concerted management of the Funds of the Clients of Notaries housed in the banks.

The CDC-CI aims to mobilize long-term resources, ensure their secure management and contribute to the financing of the economy through investments of general interest. In this context, it goes to meet all the actors of the Ivorian economy. Thus, after a first meeting in July 2019 to establish the bases for a collaboration with the APBEF-CI, that of Thursday, December 19 had the objective of strengthening the achievements through exchanges on the system of concerted management of the Funds of the Clients of Notaries housed in banks. The two entities agreed on the practical and consensual modalities for the implementation of this new mechanism.

In application of Law No. 2018-574 of 13 June 2018 which requires Notaries to deposit their Clients' Funds with the CDC-CI, the process of opening Notaries' accounts with the Caisse de Dépôts et Consignations began on 1 June 2018.  November 2019.

At the end of the meeting, Lassina Fofana, Director General of CDC-CI, invited all stakeholders (Notaries, their clients and banks) to comply with the new law.

APBEF-CI, through its third Vice-President, Mr. Léonce Yacé, Ceo of NSIA BANQUE, is committed to strengthening collaboration with CDC-CI and supporting it in its missions.

It is worth recalling that the new system for managing the Funds of Notaries' Clients comes into force in January 2020.
