A delegation from the Association of UEMOA Mediators (AMP-UEMOA) present in Niamey visited the President of the Republic of Niger Mohamed Bazoum on Saturday morning, January 28. The delegation was present in Niamey to attend the official funeral of the mediator Diabiri Assimiou.

The delegation is composed of Sanou Fatimata, mediator from Faso and Essou Pascal, mediator from Benin. They are Secretary General and Vice President of AMP respectively- UEMOA. Sanou Fatimata a indiqué à la sortie d' audience que la délégation est dépêchée au Niger par la présidente de l' AMP- UEMOA to support the President of the Republic and the people of Niger in the difficult ordeal they are going through following the death of the mediator Diabiri Assimiou.

A l' en croire, par solidarité, il était du devoir des membres de l' Association des médiateurs de l' UEMOA to come and present their “sincere condolences” and let us know that, beyond Niger, all the mediators in space UEMOA are saddened by the death of the Niger mediator.
