2023.The African Development Bank's priority is to give African agricultural producers access to fertilizers. Indeed, the $11.70 million financing provided for Mafde's 2023 business program will help strengthen the fertilizer sector by focusing on access to finance, support the development of viable policy reforms to improve fertilizer production, trade and use, and facilitate smallholder farmers' access to inputs and technical assistance, according to the bank's explanation.
Three commercial credit guarantee projects will be implemented in 2023. In Ivory Coast there will be a project with ($2 million), one in Ghana ($2 million) and one in Zimbabwe ($4.3 million). During the same year, additional projects worth a total of $9.7 million will be implemented in Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique and Kenya. These projects will involve commercial credit guarantees
