The Bill authorizing the ratification of Additional Protocol No. 1/2017/CCEG/UEMOA of 10 April 2017, modifying and supplementing Additional Protocol No. 1 relating to the UEMOA supervisory bodies was examined in the morning of this Tuesday, 18 July 2023, by the honourable deputies.

Once ratified, this protocol will allow the Court of Auditors to fully ensure its control mission, in accordance with the relevant new provisions enacted by the directives of the UEMOA harmonized framework and to entrench the independence and management autonomy of the UEMOA Court of Auditors so that it can regain its institutional positioning conferred by statutory provisions of the Union

Parliamentarians voted unanimously to ratify the bill.
