The second summit on financing infrastructure in Africa is taking place in Dakar, the Senegalese capital from Thursday 02 to Friday 03 February 2022. It recorded the participation of the Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, as the representative of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The Dakar summit is a fruit of collaboration between the AU Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and Senegal, which is the president of the AU exercise. It takes place under the slogan “maintaining the momentum towards world-class infrastructure in Africa.” Its vision is to encourage public, private and mixed financing for priority infrastructure projects. During the summit, participants set out to examine ways of attracting private sector interest in regional infrastructure projects and mobilizing finance for the implementation of these projects.

In fact, in February 2021, the Heads of State and Government of the AU adopted an action plan under the infrastructure development program in Africa, namely in border regions, concerning the areas of transport, energy, information and communication technologies, and water resources.
