Crédit Rural de Guinee (CRG) is pursuing its strategy of fully digitizing its activities in the medium term throughout the country, including Upper Guinea. It has thus strengthened the use of its platform called “Crédit Mobile”.

Upper Guinea, a commercial, agricultural and mining area par excellence, represents, with around 147,000 members of the CRG network, a major challenge in expanding the activities of the country's largest microfinance agency. According to Abdoulaye Touré, CRG regional representative in Upper Guinea, “Crédit Mobile started to work for a long time here (Editor's note: after Conakry the product was installed in Kankan). Almost all transactions are made via the Mobile Credit solution. Even transactions between agencies and us, when it comes to paying bills for example, are done through this channel.”

At least 29 kiosks in CRG colors have been set up in various localities in Upper Guinea, with a real visual impact in recent months, even if not all are functional yet. For Touré, “the 9 kiosks in Kankan are operating normally. For others, certain technical aspects will have to be adjusted, such as configuration, etc. Customer subscriptions are made progressively.” The CRG hopes to reach its main objective in 2023, which is to significantly increase the number of members through Crédit Mobile with 209 external partners (shops, points of sale) in this vast area.
