The 9th session of the Regional Steering Committee (CRP) of the West African Coastal Resilience Investment Project (WACA-ResIP) opened on Thursday, November 17, 2022 in Abidjan. It took place over two days and recorded the presence of local and regional authorities.

The vision of the 9th session of CRP is to federate the efforts of West African countries for integrated coastal zone management. It will allow actors to, among other things, review the status of the implementation of the project, review the actions of previous meetings and review the revised version of the regional project implementation manual.

According to the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, this project cannot be carried out unilaterally. He affirmed that “this project is an opportunity for all West African countries to combine their efforts to effectively achieve integrated management of their coastal zones”.
