Cotton production is undergoing climate change. Since promising expectations from the start of the 2023 cotton season are gradually fading away. Flooding and the combined effects of drought have all damaged the activity with hectares of fields destroyed. This situation could lead to a fall in production within the Société Cotonnière du Tchad Société Nouvelle (CotonSN). Those responsible for this company estimate that nearly 34,000 hectares of fields would not be harvestable due to the harmful effects of the climate.
