Intending to put an end to these acts, a Nigerian startup has put in place an interesting solution called Curacel.
A digital platform developed by an eponymous Nigerian startup, Curacel allows companies to distribute insurance products and process claims more quickly. The startup was founded in 2019 by Henry Mascot and John Dada and is based in Lagos. It has already raised at least $450,000 to support its growth since its launch, among other things.
“We realized there were a lot of problems. Insurance companies were losing a lot of money due to fraud. And so we built the system for them,” Henry Mascot said. In reality, Curacel impacts the insurance community through its programming interface and other technological tools designed to accelerate the evaluation of insurance policies and claims and allow the distribution of insurance products on a larger scale. For its part, Curacel has set up a form on its platforms to allow business leaders to contact them.
