Mise à part le Ghana, which was a preferred destination for Ivorian cocoa speculators, the cocoa flight to Guinea-Conakry is more than a reality ;. This traffic is found in the areas of Danané, Zouan-Hounien, Sipilou and Ouaninou; more than 50% of production goes to Guinea.

Under the watchful eyes of the Coffee and Cocoa Council (CCC) and law enforcement agencies: Customs officers, Gendarmes, Water and Forests, everyone earns unduly for their own account and works to ensure the sustainability of their quota. Indeed, there are no longer any buyers on the ground since these buyers, once numerous in Côte d'Ivoire, have all found themselves in Guinea (N'Zerekoré) where they have taken over warehouses. Thus, they buy the cocoa and cross the border with the load while paying customs duties at the border. Depending on the weight of the load, the costs of transporting the product vary from 2,100,000 FCFA to 7,200,000 FCFA. Cocoa can be bought at 1,150 FCFA /Kg at the border.
