A press release announced on December 16, 2022 in Abidjan, that the Association of Sugar Industries of Côte d'Ivoire (AIS-CI) has ensured a steady supply of sugar to the Ivorian market.

The press release specified that “to date, the four factories of the Ivorian sugar complexes are in continuous production. All measures have been taken to ensure the regular supply of sugar to the Ivorian market.” In November 2022, the cumulative volumes of sugar marketed stood at 26,575 tonnes. Projected sales in December 2022 are 29,000 tons, as well as inventory forecasts at the end of December of 36,750 tons.

Furthermore, the AIS-CI invites all actors in the sugar distribution chain in Côte d'Ivoire to strictly respect pricing and price caps as defined by the Ivorian government.
