A national workshop to validate the draft law on the securities exchange took place on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG). The objective is to present the new regulations, a component of the PAMSFI Financial Sector Modernization Support Project.

The workshop is part of the project to support the modernization of the private sector financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB) to support Guinea in the implementation of targeted monetary and financial reforms, according to the Director General of Credit and Foreign Exchange at the BCRG and President of PAMSFI Steering Committee. According to Estelle N'Diaye, “this project aims to develop the financial market [thanks to] the support of the Central Bank on the one hand in setting up the financial market and on the other hand, in implementing exchange policy. It also aims to modernize the financial infrastructure and improve the governance of the banking sector and the microfinance sector, in particular through the establishment of a reporting system for the supervision of banks and microfinance institutions.”
