Under an exceptional agreement by the Central African Market Surveillance Commission (Cosumaf), the first listing of the Société Commerciale Gabonaise de Reinsurance (SCG-Ré) will take place next Thursday, January 26. It is admitted to the share compartment of the Central African Securities Exchange (BVMAC).

SCG-Ré intends to join BVMAC nearly 10 years after the IPO of the company Siat Gabon. The transaction to issue new shares must allow an increase of 25% in its share capital.

This operation is scheduled for January 26, 2023, in Douala, Cameroon and will make the Gabonese reinsurer the first insurance company of the Inter-African Insurance Markets Conference (CIMA) to be listed in stock exchange both in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) zone and in the CEMAC zone. According to SCG-Ré, this initial public offering aims to align the company's share capital to the average of reinsurers in the Cima zone, i.e. 15 billion CFA francs.
