At the end of the trading session on Thursday, January 26, 2023, the market capitalization of the stock market of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) recorded a strong increase of 51.194 billion FCFA.

Indeed, the market capitalization of the stock markets stood at 7411.573 billion FCFA compared with 7360,376 billion FCFA. While bond markets fell by 6.679 billion, to 9065.821 billion FCFA compared to 9072,500 billion FCFA on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

In addition, an improvement is noted on the index side. The BRVM Prestige Index (index grouping all the stocks listed in the Prestige compartment) rose by 0.32% to 100.95 points compared with 100.63 points the day before. The BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market) rose by 0.99% to 98.49 points compared with 97.52 points the day before. Then the composite index (the general stock market index) moved from 0.69% to 199.22 points compared with 197.85 points the day before.

The previous day, the total value of transactions was 653,992 million FCFA compared to 749.673 million FCFA. The top 5 largest price declines were occupied by SITAB Ivory Coast (minus 7.46% to 5,740 FCFA), Sicor Côte d'Ivoire (minus 7.04% to 5,740 FCFA), Sucrivoire Ivory Coast (minus 5.56% to 850 FCFA), Sicable Côte d'Ivoire (minus 4.69% at 1,015 FCFA) and Filtisac Côte d'Ivoire (minus 4.29% at 1 015 FCFA) and Filtisac Côte d'Ivoire (minus 4.29% at 1 340 FCFA). While the TOP 5 largest price increases were respectively occupied by SIB Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.24% to 4,940 FCFA), Oragroup Togo (plus 5.02% to 3,140 FCFA), SODECI Côte d'Ivoire (plus 4.33% to 5,295 FCFA), BOA Senegal (plus 4.13% to 2,395 FCFA) and ONATEL Burkina Faso (plus 3.65% to 3,410 FCFA), BOA Senegal (plus 4.13% at 2,395 FCFA) and ONATEL Burkina Faso (plus 3.65% at 3,410 FCFA).
