As part of the fifth edition of the Rencontres du Marché des Securities (Remtp) organized by UMOA-Titres, the issue related to the dynamization of the secondary market for UEMOA public securities was the subject of a panel.

The panel based on the theme “dynamization of the secondary market: How to succeed in the transition to active management of public securities” allowed the Chief Operating Officer at ABCO BOURSE, Clément Ndiaye, to provide a certain number of proposals. Indeed, he emphasized the importance of the role played by Management and Intermediation Companies (SGIs) in promoting the secondary market for public securities in the West African Economic and Monetary Union. In his intervention to boost the secondary market, Clément Ndiaye mentioned the important role that the informal sector could play.

Also, he did not forget to highlight the importance of facilitating the access of SGIs to the West African Monetary Union's Automated Securities and Liquidity Management System (Sagetil-Uemoa), thus allowing them to boost their interventions on the market for public securities issued by adjudication .
