Vantage Capital announced on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 that it had completed the raising of its fourth mezzanine fund. According to him, the success of this fundraising, in such a difficult environment, is a validation of the mezzanine asset class in Africa and the pioneering role in this field over the past 17 years.

Vantage Capital is the largest mezzanine debt fund manager on the African continent. He announced a total of $377 million, which was raised from commercial investors based in Europe and the United States, and then from a range of development finance institutions including IFC, BII, SIFEM, DEG, Norfund, Swedfund, Finnfund, and BEI. It continues to provide mid-sized African businesses with a flexible financing solution to contribute to their growth and support job creation.

Mainly, this debt raised is adapted to robust and fast-growing sectors, namely export industries, telecommunications, education, real estate, health, service outsourcing, and some types of infrastructure such as private power generation.
