Togo inaugurated, this Tuesday, February 4, its 50 MW photovoltaic complex.
Named Mohamed Bin Zayed in Blitta, this complex is the largest solar photovoltaic project underway in West Africa.
It supports Togo's ambitions to increase its rural electrification rate to 50% by 2022 and 100% by 2030.
The project was launched in the presence of Faure Gnassingbe, President of the Republic of Togo, and Hussain Al Nowais, President of AMEA Power, the company in charge of the design, financing, construction, launch, operation and maintenance of the facility.
This good news for the Togolese people has earned the congratulations of the African Energy Chamber.
