The Ministry of Finance announced in a press release on 16 February 2023 that the Public Treasury of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has received more than 32 million USD. This is thanks to the Treasury Bills issued adjudication last Tuesday by the country's government.

The statement from the Ministry of Finance mentions that “the results of the two-year batch with two tenderers served brought 65,000,000,000 FC, or 32.5 million USD, to the public treasury, or a coverage rate of the amount put in adjudication 43.33% at the accepted limit rate of 97.50% and a weighted average rate of 99.54%. The percentage awarded was at the accepted limit of 100%.”

He also specified that the government plans to borrow a total of 320 billion Congolese francs (CDF), or nearly 160 million USD, for the month of February and March 2023 through the Ministry of Finance. According to the same document, “for the month of February 2023, the government plans to borrow 180 billion Congolese francs (FC), or nearly 90 million USD on both segments of the local financial market.”
