Operations on the public securities market by auction in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) during the month of December 2022 resulted in a decrease in the overall amount of issues and interest rates.

On the regional financial market, public securities issued by auction amounted to 176.9 billion, including 94.4 billion Treasury bills (53.4% of the total) and 82.5 billion in Treasury bonds (46.6% of the total). The BCEAO considers that the securities issued are mainly composed of Support and Resilience Bonds (Bsr), as well as Stimulus Bonds (Odr).

The total amount of resources mobilized per auction in December 2022 was down by 73.8 billion compared with the previous month and was down by 73.8 billion, with a fall in bond issues (-12.9 billion) and bonds (-60.9 billion). The volume of issues also reveals a fall of 23.2 billion FCFA year-on-year.
