The Ministry of Finance announced in a press release that the public treasury of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) cashed 20 million dollars on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 on the treasury bills issued.

The press release from the Congolese Ministry of Finance mentions that “the results of the two-year batch with two bidders served brought 20 million USD, or 40 billion CFA, to the public treasury, or a coverage rate of the amount. set adjudication 57.14% at the accepted limit rate of 8.25% and a weighted average rate of 6.75% and the percentage awarded at the accepted limit rate of 100%.”

Indeed, according to the press release, the government plans to borrow a total of 320 billion Congolese francs (CDF), or nearly 160 million USD, for the month of February and March 2023 through the Ministry of Finance.
