Un document publié le lundi dernier mentionne qu' en République démocratique du Congo, plus d' un milliard USD intended to serve as a tax and parafiscal base have been lost in three years for fraud.

Mining Minister Antoinette N'Samba Kalambayi announced in the document published last Monday that “taking the average price of recent years, several thousand billions of Congolese francs, equivalent to more than one billion USD (1,000,000,000 USD), should serve as a plate for ; taxation and para-taxation, not to mention their induced effects in terms of growth, are beyond the reach of the public purse.” She recommended the revitalization of the National Commission against Mining Fraud and Smuggling (CNLFM) in order to comply with legislation against mining fraud and smuggling in the DRC

She announced that, in her capacity as Minister of Mines, she has instructed the National Commission to Combat Mining Fraud and Smuggling to take all the necessary steps to prepare the files to be submitted to the courts.
