On Saturday, June 3, 2023, the launch of the activities of a new company called Salam Finance Islamique (SFI) SA in Niamey took place. This company will provide ethical financing for the economy based on Islamic law.

Société Salam Finance Islamique was born from the initiative of young Nigeriens, mainly from the Diaspora. The creation of Salam Finance Islamique SA is consistent with the Government's Economic and Social Development Plan 2022 - 2026. This company is anchored in the Plan's two strategic axes, which are Strategic Axis No. 1 relating to the development of human capital, inclusion and solidarity, and Strategic Axis No. 3, which aims at the structural transformation of the economy. According to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, over the next three years, Salam Finance Islamique SA will contribute to the achievement of three major development objectives, namely the creation of wealth, including more than 2,561,000,000 FCFA in credits to the economy, of which at least 400,000,000 FCFA in indirect and induced tax revenue
