The dollar further declined against the euro and the pound on Tuesday after the publication of inflation figures in the United States in May, comforting investors in their expectation of a pause in the Fed's rate hike cycle. Around 13:00 GMT (15:00 in Paris), the dollar fell 0.54% against the euro, to 1.0816 dollars per euro, and 0.72% against the pound, to 1.2599 dollars per pound

The pound enjoyed better-than-expected employment figures in the United Kingdom, which could give the Bank of England (BoE) more leeway to continue rate hikes to fight inflation. The unemployment rate fell slightly in the United Kingdom to 3.8% at the end of April, compared with 3.9% in the three months ended at the
