Chad is considering the creation of a Special Fund for the Preparation of Infrastructure Projects (FSPPI). The National Transitional Council of Chad examined the draft law establishing this fund on 14 June 2023.

The creation of this special fund aims to promote and finance studies prior to the implementation and execution of infrastructure projects. This initiative will facilitate the recruitment of design offices and speed up procedures. It will demonstrate to development partners the political will of the Chadian government to accelerate the implementation of infrastructure projects. It will make it easier to mobilize the financing needed to support the country's socio-economic development

The bill under consideration therefore aims to establish an effective mechanism to finance the infrastructure necessary for Chad's development. This special fund will play an essential role in the implementation of socio-economic infrastructure projects, thus helping to stimulate growth and improve the living conditions of the population
