In Chad, the World Bank and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, Mining and Crafts (CCIAMA) jointly organized a private sector procurement forum.

The procurement forum was held on 14 June at the Radisson Blu, in the presence of Oumar Abdallah Lebine, representative of the Secretary General of the Government, who officially chaired the launch of this forum. Its objective is to help the Chadian private sector to be better prepared to meet the requirements of World Bank tenders and requests for proposals

During his speech, Rasit Pertev, World Bank Resident Representative in Chad, emphasized the World Bank Group's commitment to working with the government to address the challenges. He also recalled that the private sector diagnostic report, soon to be published by the World Bank, will highlight the challenges facing the private sector in Chad as well as the opportunities offered by the country to attract more private investment
