While waiting for the large-scale legal action initiated this month by the regulatory agency to be resolved, an agreement has been signed between Binance and Binance.US cryptoassets to keep American clients' assets in the US.

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance and Binance.US have reached an agreement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to ensure that American clients' assets remain in the United States. The deal, disclosed in court documents filed late Friday, still has to be approved by the federal judge overseeing the litigation. To ensure that American clients' assets do not go overseas, the agreement only allows Binance.US employees to access them

According to the agreement, Binance.US will take steps to ensure that no Binance Holdings manager has access to the private keys in their various wallets, hardware wallets, or root access to Binance.US' Amazon Web Services tools, as stated in court filings.
