On the occasion of the African Anti-Corruption Day (JALC), which was held on July 11, the CIVIS Côte d'Ivoire association invited the authorities, through a report, to “ethical culture and transparency in the management of public finances”.

The JALC was based on the theme “African Union Convention for Preventing and Combating Corruption, 20 Years Later (CUAPLCC): Achievements and Prospects”. This day allowed the EU to raise awareness about corruption, which remains the main obstacle to economic, social and cultural development in the world. In reality, corruption exacerbates the poverty of populations by reducing the resources allocated to increasing social services and basic infrastructure

CIVIS Côte d'Ivoire encouraged stakeholders, managers of public money to guarantee access to information for all citizens; to publish the annual reports of the General State Inspectorate and the Court of Auditors; to publish the annual reports on the management of public funding for public parties and groups and of publish updated annual lists of persons subject to the declaration of assets who have declared their assets
