As part of the fiftieth anniversary of the West African Development Bank (BOAD), which is scheduled to culminate on 14 November next, the Bank launched an online thematic workshop on “financing infrastructure development for success” “regional integration.” It is a series of five sessions.

The workshop focuses on two dimensions of infrastructure; roads and digital technology. The first session of the workshop deals with “Development of integrative infrastructures and the need for partnership” and the second with “Digital transition, regional integration and the contribution of development banks”. The first session, which was held yesterday, Wednesday, August 23, 2023, was moderated by four panelists. The communications relate, among others, to the financing of infrastructure in the UEMOA zone: challenges and perspectives; “Legalization of overload in the face of difficulties in financing road maintenance and budgetary constraints in mobilizing financing from PTFs for the implementation of road projects” and the “Presentation of DATC land infrastructure programs
