On Friday, September 1, the Geneva Criminal Court sentenced the former head of security at Genève Aéroport to 3 years in prison, including six months, for passive corruption. The latter had favored a company to obtain mandates in exchange for money

The former executive appeared as part of a streamlined procedure. The latter was found guilty of passive corruption, unfair management of public interests, breach of official secrecy, instigation of false titles and complicity in unemployment insurance fraud. In 2012, the latter signed a “corruption pact” with the boss of a company, which aims to award this company several service mandates given by Genève Aéroport. He had to influence the process of awarding mandates for Genève Aéroport to choose the company. In return, the director of the company paid him “an unfair advantage” corresponding to half of the company's profits. This man, who also admitted the facts, was convicted of active corruption, forging securities and aiding and abetting in unemployment insurance fraud. He was given a two-year suspended prison sentence
