The Banque Populaire de Côte d'Ivoire (BPCI) announced in a press release published on September 26, 2023 the signing of an agreement between the Ivorian State, its sole shareholder, and Atlantic Financial Group (AFG) for the takeover of BPCI's activities. This agreement between the State of Côte d'Ivoire and Atlantic Financial Group follows a restructuring plan adopted in 2017 by the Ivorian side. The objective is the regulatory upgrade of BPCI and the adoption of a commercial strategy focused on financing SMEs
