A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission met with the Ivorian Prime Minister Patrick Achi and the Minister of Economy and Finance Adama Coulibaly on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, as part of the first review of the Economic and Financial Program.

The IMF mission delegation provided an update on the review conducted from September 19 to October 2, 2023. This review revolves around the Ivorian government's new economic program. The objective of this review is to maintain financial and debt stability through the continuation of fiscal reforms by 2025. It is also about fighting poverty through job creation, deepening financial inclusion and improving resilience to climate change

At the end of the meeting, the head of delegation announced an agreement to conclude this first review of the program and to prepare the disbursements of the second instalment of the program, which is worth 500 million US dollars.
