A large conference was organized by the National Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts of Benin (ANSALB) on Thursday, October 19, 2023 in the blue room of the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou. This conference focused on cryptocurrency, which is entering the intellectual debate through its indispensable presence in economies and commercial exchanges.

“Currency and Cryptocurrency in Africa”, is the theme of the conference organized by ANSALB. It facilitated a debate of ideas between scientists with the aim of shedding light on the challenges posed by cryptocurrency in Africa. The college of scientists gathered in this melting pot took the subject of cryptocurrency to their heart's content to do all the necessary research by involving all fields. According to Professor Maxime da Cruz, representing the president of the conference organizing committee, “this conference should be seen as the academy's contribution to the dissemination of knowledge useful for the well-being and development of the Beninese people.
