On Monday, December 4, EQT Corporation announced its participation in the Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC) unveiled at COP28.

The Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter that the largest natural gas producer in the United States has adhered to aims to accelerate climate action and achieve large-scale impact in the oil and gas sectors. According to Toby Z. Rice, President and CEO of EQT, “EQT is proud to join this historic charter. EQT has been at the forefront of reducing gas emissions for years. Our ambitious carbon neutrality goals, our vigorous efforts to reduce methane emissions, our commitment to transparency, and our willingness to support our peers make us a natural partner.” Joining the OGDC will help ensure that the energy that EQT produces is produced in a responsible manner
