Sanu Gold has launched the first ground geophysics program on its Bantabaye gold exploration license, including induced polarization and ground magnetometry surveys. According to the announcement made on December 12 by Junior Canadienne, the objective of the work is to define targets for drilling in the first quarter of 2024

.

Bantabaye is one of the three projects owned by Sanu Gold in Guinea. Earlier this year, the asset was the subject of an exploration campaign of more than 3,000 meters, which will continue to a total of 10,000 meters in 2024. Thanks to initial work, it should be noted that Sanu Gold has already been able to intercept up to 11.4 g/t of gold over 15 m, including 41.2 g/t of gold over 4 m. “In the region, induced polarization has proved to be a particularly effective geophysical tool for the discovery and delineation of gold mineralization. The results of this program will form an important data set that will be combined with existing drilling and surface sampling data sets to better delineate key targets,” explains Martin Pawlitschek, CEO of Sanu Gold. Guinea is a major West African gold producer, but industrial exploitation represented only 27% of its exports in 2022
