The market indices of the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobiliers (BRVM) ended the trading session on Thursday, January 11, 2024 in red. While investors showed low enthusiasm during the session with a total transaction value of less than 202 million

FCFA.

The BRVM indices are still in the red zone. Indeed, the BRVM Prestige index (an index grouping together all the values listed in the Prestige compartment) recorded the biggest drop. It lost 2.35% to 97.70 points against 100.05 points the day before. The composite index (general stock market index) fell by 0.99% to 208.94 points against 211.03 points the day before. And the BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the Stock Exchange), which fell by 0.91% to 105.11 points against 106.08 points previously.

At the end of this trading session, a total trade amount of 201.403 million FCFA was recorded against 325.917 million FCFA the day before. The market capitalization of the equity market fell by 78.018 billion, from 7851.007 billion FCFA the day before to 7,772.989 billion FCFA on Thursday, January 11, 2024. That of the bond market is also down by 29.704 billion, to 10,226.172 billion FCFA against 10,255.876 billion FCFA on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
