Note that in 2023, the African Development Bank Group financed a series of operations in North Africa totaling over 2 billion US dollars in various strategic sectors. For its part, Morocco received a total of 704 million dollars.

A statement from the AfDB reveals that the cumulative approvals of the African Development Bank for Morocco reached nearly 704 million dollars in 2023. The ADB financed two operations to the tune of 270 million euros to expand social coverage and develop new health infrastructures.

According to the press release, “these operations, which are part of the structuring programs deployed in the Kingdom, will make it possible to extend social protection to non-employed workers, self-employed persons, self-employed entrepreneurs, very small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and cooperative structures”.
